Spring 2012 : Good news is in bloom!
First of all, our PostDoc student Thi Than Hiên Pham is leaving us...to become a Associate Professor at UQAM in Urban Studies! We are very happy for her and for us, since we will be able to continue to collaborate with her.
Also, two students will work on Marie-Soleil Cloutier's project : Karine Lachapelle, new master student will be implicated on the project « L’apport de brigadiers scolaires à la sécurité routière près des écoles »and Pierre Rondier, a new PostDoc with us is coordinating the project: « Diagnostic de sécurité routière en milieu municipal : un projet pilote pour la MRC d’Arthabaska ».
Brigitte St-Amour, another new Master student will be working as an intern with Mario Polèse, along with Zaratiana Volona, a Master student from Université du Québec à Rimouski.
The french intern Mathilde Plassart is spending the summer with us working with Richard Shearmur and Philippe Apparicio is wokring on the Geo Segregation Analyzer, an innovating application that will be available in open source. More news about this very soon!
Travelling : From April 30th to May 6th, 17 students from the Centre Urbanisation culture Société, are guided by Mario Polèse to visit the streets of Los Angeles. details here : voyage à Los Angeles
